After years of relentless searching, Emperor Pilaf finally manages to obtain the Black Star Dragon Balls, rumoured to be twice as potent as the regular Earth Dragon Balls. He aims to use them for world domination but is foiled by Goku Son’s sudden arrival.

 

Pilaf accidentally turns Goku into a child and now he is supposed to save the world by collecting all the Black Star Dragon Balls yet again. Therefore, he decides to team up with his granddaughter and young Trunks in order to save their loved ones.

 

However, the battle is going to be a lot more intimidating than what meets the eye.

 

 

4. Dragon Ball Kai

 

Dragon Ball Kai takes place five years after the events of Dragon Ball and follows Goku, who is now married to Chi-Chi and has a son named Gohan. While attending a reunion, an alien named Raditz reveals Goku’s past and kidnaps Gohan.

 

Goku teams up with his former rival, Piccolo, to rescue his son. The duo learns of the seven mystical Dragon Balls and their wish-granting abilities but also discovers that there are more members of Raditz’s race, the Saiyans, who seek to obtain the power of the Dragon Balls.

 

 

5. Dragon Ball Kai: The Final Chapters

 

Dragon Ball Kai: The Final Chapters is a series that was supposed to be a remastered version of the original Majin Buu saga in Dragon Ball Kai. It is also known as Dragon Ball Kai (2014) and happens to follow a story that is much closer to the one placed in the original manga.

 

 

6. Dragon Ball Super

7. Super Dragon Ball Heroes

 

In May 2018, V-Jump announced that Dragon Ball Heroes, a Japanese arcade and trading card game, would receive a promotional anime. The game was adapted into a Nintendo Switch port for western audiences and the card game was released as “Dragon Ball Super TCG,” combined with its Japanese counterpart.

 

The anime, expected to be brief and not airing on TV, adapts the Prison Planet Arc from the game and two original manga arcs, “Big Bang Mission” and “Ultra God Mission,” published in Saikyou Jump under separate canons.

 

The first episode premiered on July 1, 2018, at Aeon Lake Town, but these arcs have not been officially released in English.
