Soon this friendship turns into something much more, than most of us would be expecting. Confessions and conversations are bound to appear in this love story as things get more and more interesting.

Little Butterfly might have a silly title but is worth all the time you have.

The premise is quite basic but still heart-touching.

34. Conveni-Kun.

The next manga on our list is a read that would be relatable to quite a few readers out there.

Because the series is about a NEET person. Conveni-Kun is a single-volume manga series that started back in 2010.

The manga was written and illustrated by Junko. The series deals with Endou Hiroshi who was a NEET, experiencing all the drawbacks of being one.

However, he decided to overcome his loser behavior and start working at a convenience store.

His interactions with his co-worker Yamai Kohei aren’t the most friendly. However, when he gets to know the other end of Kohei’s personality, things start to get better.

Hana no Miyako de is a sort of collection of short stories. However, these stories are a lot smaller in terms of numbers and content. Still, their quality is a lot higher than you would expect.

Hana no Miyako de is a single-volume manga series that started back in 2012. It is written and illustrated by Takarai Rihito.

The manga involves two different situations with Yaoi present within them. The first series talks about Motoharu Tsujimura and Akira Hazumi who have been friends since childhood.

However, when a rejection between them takes place, the one who rejected their relationship develops feelings for the other one.

The second story on the other hand talks about Youichi Arikawa and Shouta Misaki who get to know each other because of agriculture research.

They start living together and as they grow, things start to take new directions within them.

It’s been a while since we have seen some accidental meeting stories on this list.

And I guess we can bring that troupe back by talking about Himegoto Asobi. By the way, the English title for this series is Hide and Seek.

Quite interesting right? Himegoto Asobi is a 3 volume manga series that started back in 2011.

The manga is written and illustrated by Sakuragi Yaya. The story focuses on Shuuji Tanihara who is a single father bored with his monotonous life.

He doesn’t have any sort of excitement marked in his schedule and things seem to go stale.

All he cares about is his daughter and his shop. However, a turn of events takes place when a gay doctor named Takafumi Saji makes his way to his shop.

Now Shuuji has got one opportunity to relax and have fun for once. He asks the doctor to seduce him just for once.

However, this ‘Just For Fun’ activity soon takes some unreal directions. Well, I can’t help but recommend this series to all of you readers out there.

The humor and drama are so good that you might end up binge-watching this manga.

38. Konya mo Nemurenai

Now we are in a new segment of our list and things would only go up from here on out.

Let’s start our list with Konyo Mo Nemurenai. Konya mo Nemurenai is a 3 volume manga series that started back in 2011.

It is written and illustrated by Yamamoto Kotetsukom. The story talks about Rikiya who has been gay all along but never had the opportunity to be in a relationship.

Now he lives all alone and finally got the opportunity to change his fate. Therefore, my man decides to join a gay dating site to insure his life in the future.

However, this decision is going to result in him getting in desperate need of help.

Things are going to get out of hand very quickly. This manga is more focused on the lifestyle of our main character and the turn of events that take place.

If you wish to know what happened, there’s no better way to find it out other than reading it.

39. The Titan’s Bride

Katsuragi is respected by many because of his overall charm but Akihito feels a bit different about him than the others.

And this difference makes him possessive towards Katsuragi to a new degree. How will this servant-master relationship go?

As said earlier, the manga deals with a family hierarchy with a twist of its own.

This not only makes it unique but also interesting and all fangirls would love to read such Yaoi stories, right?

41. BJ Alex

Nam Dong-Gyun, a university student, religiously tunes in to the nightly livestream of his beloved broadcasting jockey, BJ Alex.

The anonymous jockey, masked to conceal his identity, enthralls viewers with provocative performances that leave Dong-Gyun unable to resist indulging in carnal pleasure.

Unbeknownst to him, Dong-Gyun has unknowingly developed romantic feelings for the enigmatic cam boy. Meanwhile, at school, Dong-Gyun crosses paths with Ahn Jiwon, the charismatic president of the student council.

A seemingly innocent invitation to a drinking party ends in a calamitous turn of events, leaving Dong-Gyun in a state of inebriation.

From the surface, this might seem like a series about high school boys who get engaged with each other because of a mishap.

One of them broke a rule and the other one tried to teach him, or something along those lines seems like the plot for this series.

However, it’s a lot more interesting than that. Rules is a 3 volume manga series that started back in 2009.

It is written and illustrated by Miyamoto Kano. The story talks about Konoe who has been in love with Atori, however, couldn’t get the courage to confess.

So when he wasn’t able to convey his gay feelings, he ends up sleeping with Hikaru from the sleazy gay district.

Later on, they both start playing lovers for a while but Konoe just can’t overlook his love for Atori.

Moreover, the feelings of Hikaru and Atori are yet to be known. This manga dives more into human drama and gay relationships.

The three individuals involved are going to be the core of the story and their character isn’t something you would wanna miss.

43. Dance

The title seems quite something for a Yaoi series and I hope you get where we are going with this.

The series is about vibing all along. 10 Dance is a currently published manga series that started back in 2011.

It is written and illustrated by Inoue Satou. The story talks about 10 Dance, a dance competition where elite dancers compete to win the trophy.

However, this dance competition involves the contestant performing 2 different types of dances. Latin Dance and Ballroom.

And both of these dance forms have their kings. Shinya Suzuki and Shinya Sugiki respectively.

Although these competitors never make eye contact, to win the contest, they ask for each other’s help.

What happens after that is a graceful experience. The manga here is yet another simple story with the essence of competition added to it.

Makes it a lot more worthwhile.

44. Hyakujitsu no Bara

The next manga has a serious narrative that can make you feel a lot more attached to it.

This is about WAR and loves developing within it. Let’s have a look. Hyakujitsu no Bara is a currently published manga series that started back in 2014.

It is written and illustrated by Inariya Fusanosuke. The story is set in a situation of war where two soldiers have been bound by the relationship of a master and a servant.

Taki Reizen serves as the Master while Klaus is the Servant. This couple receives endless criticism from all around but their love for one another stands strong.

Will ‘love’ be able to withstand the torture of War? This manga is placed in the military setting, making things a lot more serious and interesting.

If you are related to the military in any way, whether it would be being an aspirant or having a family member or anything along those lines then this manga is for you.

45. Mousou Elektel

Now let’s just get straight to the point, weebs. The manga that we will be discussing today is the one that takes a straightforward approach to its Yaoi genre.

This makes it simple and lovable as a read. Mousou Elektel is a 4 volume manga series that started back in 2009.

It is written and illustrated by Nekota Yonezou. The series focuses on Shunpei and Fumi, two friends who have spent quite some time together.

However, soon Fumi declares that he might be gay. Stunned by his confession, Shunpei starts to make assumptions about Fumi and his outlook on him.

However, Fumi dismisses all of his assumptions by claiming that he is already in a relationship.

Now things are going to go, a lot differently between Fumi and Shunpei. As you can see, the series doesn’t have any extravagant narrative that will blow your mind or anything.

Nope, it’s just a simple and sweet Yaoi premise that seems to be attracting quite some audience.

No wonder it has 4 volumes going on for it.

46. Koi Ja Nai Kedo

Time for some naughty stories ladies and gentlemen. No, not in THAT way. This manga is about naughty characters whom you wouldn’t wanna have as your classmates.

This is going to be your fun read of the week. Koi Ja Nai Kedo is a single-volume manga series that started back in 2008.

It is written and illustrated by Sakuraga Mei. The story deals with 2 characters. The first one is the Vice President of his student council, Yukimura and the second one is his childhood friend Shinonome.

Now Yukimura has a past that he wants to be concealed at any cost and only Shinonome is aware of that past.

However, Shinonome is the number one problem child of the entire school and so, shutting him would be a tough task.

And how will things go if Yukimura isn’t able to quiet him? This manga is about a notorious kid and his disciplined friend.

Or maybe vice-versa actually. Either way, what’s important here is the amount of fun that you will have while reading this.

47. Jackass!

The limits of Yaoi narratives can be pretty insane if you think about it. And you don’t even need to think about it if you try and take a look at the manga we are talking about next.

This is Jackass. Jackass is a single-volume manga series that started back in 2015. It is written and illustrated by Beriko Scarlet.

The series talks about the life of two best friends. Those are Masayuki Shinoda and Keisuke Hara.

Now Keisuke is a man who lost his family and only has his sister under the tag of one.

Therefore, he strives to make sure that they have a happy life and so, Keisuke lives his life in a struggling way.

One day, when her sister accidentally wore his pants instead of her own, Keisuke got very annoyed by it.

However, it later turns out that she left her pantyhose in her pants and now Keisuke is wearing them in PE.

Shinoda comes to the rescue asap and takes him to the infirmary. However, when they are both there alone, things will get a little out of hand.

Especially when you realize that Keisuke is looking quite hot in those Pantyhose. Well, well.

That’s quite a sensitive narrative, right? I mean being able to witness the unthinkable has an appeal of its own.

And if you wish to look at that appeal then look no further than Jackass.

48. Joy

This story is about a Manga author and his relationship with his assistant. Things are going to change tracks very soon.

Joy is a 2 volume manga series that started back in 2016. It is written and illustrated by Etsuko.

The series focuses on 2 characters. One is a shoujo manga artist, Go Okazaki and the second is his assistant, Yusuke.

Now Okazaki wants to write a fabulous Shojo manga that will be a great read for her female readers.

And to support his mission, he gets a request for a Boys’ Love manga. Now, this is going to be a tricky task but luckily Okazaki, right before he received the orders, discovered that his assistant is homosexual.

Therefore, to make the series as realistic as possible, Okazaki will play ‘pretend’ with his assistant as his boyfriend.

However, this game of pretending might fade away as time goes on. We are starting very well here.

With a manga such as Joy, you would also understand how troublesome it is for manga authors to provide quality content to their readers.

49. Given

A manga series that made many people start Yaoi in the first place. A beautiful story that will melt your heart with its flow.

Given is penned and illustrated by Natsuki Kizu, centred around the formation of an amateur rock band consisting of four students: Ritsuka Uenoyama, an electric guitarist; Mafuyu Sato, a vocalist; Haruki Nakayama, a bassist; and Akihiko Kaji, a drummer.

The series delves into the romantic relationships that blossom between Uenoyama and Sato, as well as Nakayama and Kaji.

Divided into three major arcs, the story explores the band’s inception, their inaugural live performance, and their preparation for their first music festival.

Additionally, the series focuses on the relationship between Hiiragi and Shizusumi.

“Given” has expanded beyond manga, with adaptations into an audio drama, anime television series, anime film, and live-action television drama.

It weaves a captivating narrative of music, friendship, and love.
