Margalit Ruth Gyllenhaal, known professionally as Maggie Gyllenhaal is a November 16th-born American actress and filmmaker. She is a part of the Gyllenhaal family.


She is the daughter of filmmakers Stephen Gyllenhaal and Naomi Achs and the older sister of actor Jake Gyllenhaal.


She started her career as a teenager in minor roles, such as Donnie Darko, Adaptations, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, and Mona Lisa Smile.
