Anime Websites

Anime is becoming an important source of entertainment and people across the globe are being fascinated by it.

Anime like Fullmetal alchemist, demon slayer, Tokyo revengers, and Haikyuu have given the much-needed attention and many of us are spending a lot of time finding platforms to watch them.

This article from ENTOIN lists 40 platforms/websites that have plenty of anime in their library. Some of these platforms are subscription-based while others are free. So, no matter what's your budget, you can find at least one website/app which will fulfill your need.

Let's review each website without any further delay.

1. Netflix

Netflix

Entity Detail

Languages English, French, German, Spanish, Japanese
Quality HD/FHD
Pricing Model Subscription
Supported Devices Windows, IOS, and Android

This shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone at all! Netflix is the King when it comes to online streaming and their domination of the anime market is no exception.

This service was started even before Google did (in 1997 to be exact) and over the past few years, they have had an immense amount of growth.

Therefore, you can be certain that this website deserves the top rank for sure. Plus, in recent times, they have started to take aggressive moves towards the anime medium and so, their collection has some of the most amazing shows you can find.

From Death Note to Assassination Classroom, from Violet Evergarden to Saiki K. They have it all!

And they offer it at a minimal rate as well. And that's why they are at the top of this list.

2. Crunchyroll

Crunchyroll

Entity Detail
Region USA, Philippines, India, UK, Canada, Australia, and more
Languages French, Spanish, English, Russian, Japanese
Quality HD/FHD

This one shouldn't be a surprise either. If you have been a fan of anime for a while, you would know about Crunchyroll.

This service is made for anime so weebs like you and me can have a fun time here.

It started back in 2006 and has a massive collection of anime, probably the biggest amongst all of the websites mentioned on this list.

And the best part is that you can access this website for free as well.

They offer simulcasts and have a ton of other shows apart from the mainstream ones as well.

And hey, they support the industry as well. So for hardcore anime fans, Crunchyroll is THE place to go for.

And if you haven't checked out this orange yet, now's your chance.

3. YouTube

YouTube

Entity Detail
Region Worldwide
Languages Japanese
Quality HD
Pricing Model Freemium
Supported Devices Windows, IOS, and Android

Now, this might come as a surprise to many of you but YouTube actually has a lot of anime.

But here's the dilemma. Not all of them are legal. You see, on YouTube, we have channels like Animelog, Muse Asia, AniOne, etc that offer licensed anime.

However, sometimes, you can access an anime illegally uploaded by a user as well. Either way, you can find some fine anime on this website.

The website started in 2005 and didn't have much anime back then but the case is a bit different today.

This is not the best place if you are heavily into anime but you know, it's YouTube.

There's another level of trust and acquaintance going on with this platform. And that is why it seems right at the place with the 3rd rank.

4. Amazon Prime

Amazon Prime

Entity Detail
Region Worldwide
Languages English, Japanese
Quality HD/FHD
Pricing Model Subscription
Supported Devices Windows, IOS, and Android

If you are not a fan of Netflix then Amazon Prime can be a great choice for you.

You see, in every industry, there's competition. And OTT services are no exception. So to break down the monopoly of the Red N, Big Boy Bezos made room for Amazon Prime Video in 2006.

This platform offers a lot of TV shows and movies that you would love to enjoy, laying on your couch.

The anime segment specifically isn't the greatest of all time. But it has some fine shows like Vinland Saga and Dororo.

Therefore, you won't be disappointed with the content offered at all. Try your hands on it, maybe this will be your next favorite app.

5. Funimation

Funimation

Entity Detail
Region US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, Mexico, Brazil, and New Zealand
Languages English, Japanese, Spanish, Portuguese
Quality HD/FHD
Pricing Model Subscription
Supported Devices Windows, IOS, and Android

As I said before, in every industry, there's competition. And while we do have Amazon as a competition for Netflix, we also have Funimation as a competition for Crunchyroll.

I think many of you might have noticed that a lot of anime you watch start with the Funimation logo.

Even if you aren't watching it on Funimation, why does it happen? Well, that's because these guys are the kings of anime in dubs.

It started back in 2005, just like Crunchyroll, these guys dominate when it comes to anime acquisition and their platform offers a wide variety of shows which includes beasts like Attack On Titan and Demon Slayer.

And I guess it is because of this strength that this platform and Crunchyroll have the same parent company now.

I guess anime fans are going to have a great future ahead of them.

6. Hulu

Hulu

Entity Detail
Region USA, Japan
Languages English, Japanese
Quality HD/FHD
Pricing Model Subscription
Supported Devices Windows, Android, IOS

I think most of you might not be aware of this service. And I don't blame you at all.

After all, this platform is exclusive to the USA and has a subscription cap on it as well.

So yeah, don't think you are not the biggest weeb in case you didn't know about it.

But remember, for being a 2007 release, this platform is quite old. Anyway, Hulu is another legal source of watching anime.

As said before, it is region exclusive so you might not be able to access it THAT easily.

However, if you do manage to get your hands on it, you will be able to watch some bangers like Attack On Titan and Demon Slayer.

And I think that's good enough, right?

7. AnimeLab

AnimeLab

Entity Detail
Region Australia, New Zealand
Languages English, Japanese

This service might remind you of another service from our list! Which one you may ask?

Well, that's Funimation. I mean, they both have a purple logo going on for them so you know, that makes them alike.

I think. Anyway, AnimeLab is another anime offering service that lets you watch anime for free as well as with a subscription.

It began its tenure back in 2014 and its catalog includes My Hero Academia, One Punch Man, and The Promised Neverland which are some amazing series that you need to watch if you haven't already.

All in all, a great platform for those who wish to support the industry.

This website, just like most others so far, is a legal streaming service that has a wide variety of shows to offer.

Their best feature is that they offer a lot of obscure anime as well which might be hard to come by otherwise.

By the way, this website is said to be fairly new, being started in 2017.

As far as mainstream shows go, this platform offers bangers like Legend Of The Galactic Heroes, Clannad After Story, and Haikyuu.

Yeah, I can already see a ton of fans getting inclined to get their hands on HiDive.

And if you are a hardcore fan for sure, this can be a wise decision considering the pool this service has to put on the table.

And hey, it supports the creators so that's another plus, right?

9. VRV

VRV

Entity Detail
Region USA
Languages English, Japanese
Quality HD

Out of all the websites mentioned so far, VRV is probably going to be the least known one.

Mainly because of its presence in this tight market. Anyway, VRV is a streaming service available in the USA that offers anime to fans who are craving it.

And more importantly, their methods are legal. The platform showed up in 2016 and if we talk about their catalog, it includes amazing shows like Tokyo Revengers and My Hero Academia.

So if you are planning to take a look at the platform, maybe you should consider watching these fine pieces.

And if your favorite color is yellow, then VRV might just be the anime streaming website for you.

Now, I know this might come as a surprise to some of you new anime fans out there.

How on Earth can we watch anime on AnimePlanet. I mean, it's a website only for anime info and listing, right?

Well, not exactly. You see, AnimePlanet is just like My Anime List, AniList, or Kitsu at first.

However, what makes this platform stand out so much more is its partnership with Crunchyroll.

Yup, using the benefits of AnimePlanet, you can now enjoy anime while also gaining knowledge about it.

How cool is that! And I bet hardcore weebs are frothing right now!

11. VIZ

This one might also come as a surprise to you. I mean, we all thought that VIZ was all about manga, right?

What's its deal with anime? Well, it turns out that VIZ not only offers some fine manga but also some amazing anime as well.

However, I can assure you that their support for the industry is a bit more remarkable.

In other words, their prices for anime are slightly more than you would expect but hey, you can also enjoy some fine manga along the way so I guess that works out, right?

The website is trustworthy and has a clean interface filled with popular shounen anime. So yeah, if you are a fan of some Naruto, then VIZ should be under your radar.

12. AT&T TV

AT&T TV

Ok, here's the deal right! AT&T is a big deal. It's a massive company that once owned Crunchyroll.

Yup, these were the guys who were managing Crunchyroll until Sony bought it. But apart from their platform, they also have their own website where they offer some fine TV shows that you can enjoy and have a fun time watching.

Their catalog isn't all that big. And it would be much wiser for you to check out Crunchyroll if you are a hardcore anime fan.

But if you just want to watch a few anime here and there casually, then AT&T can be a good choice.

13. Adult Swim

Anyway, Adult Swim is an organization interlinked with Toonami. And Toonami was one of the leading anime providers back in the early days.

And that's why Adult Swim got so much recognition from fans all around the United States.

Tubi is a rather unknown website for anime fandom. And it's a bit sad considering how convenient this website is.

You can watch anime for free and yes, their catalog isn't all that great, they still have some fine series like Pokemon and Midori Days to offer.

And a ton of obscure shows like Junkers Come Here and The Daichi as well.

I think when you don't have to pay anything and the ads are minimal, this is a fairly decent deal, right?

So yeah, if you like the good old Pokemon days then give Tubi TV a thought.

16. Asian Crush

Asian Crush

Entity Detail
Region USA, Canada

The name in itself should be enough to describe the website. Just as it suggests, this place is all about Asian Series.

Korean Drama, Chinese Drama, Japanese Drama, Anime, you name it! The website is quite popular amongst fans of the Asian series and so, it has a great following overall.

They offer some good anime like Great Teacher Onizuka and Honey & Clover. For a website that has minimal ads, this is quite something.

Either way, this is only for hardcore Asian fans. You guys will get a bang for your buck if you decide to take AsianCrush under consideration.

17. NicoNico

NicoNico

Entity Detail
Region USA, Japan, Taiwan(China)
Languages Japanese
Quality HD
Pricing Model Freemium, Subscription
Supported Devices Windows, Android, IOS

Remember YouTube? Yeah, Japan has its own competitor. And that competitor is called NicoVideo. This place is where creators upload their content and viewers get to enjoy them.

The interface is quite interactive with its video comment feature, video script, etc. This website also happens to have a good number of anime that you can watch and have a fun time with.

There's just one small problem. As you might have read in the region, it is only available in the USA and Japan.

Moreover, it is mostly presented for the Japanese audience so many of you might not like it.

18. CONtv

CONtv

Entity Detail
Region USA
Languages English
Quality HD
Pricing Model Freemium, Subscription
Supported Devices Windows, Android, IOS

Anyone who likes Comic-Con, cannot escape the grasps of CONTV. This place was like a digital hub for all the Comic-Con fans.

And it provided fine insights on pop culture connected to it. It has a ton of Batman, Superman, etc., and happens to have some anime as well.

With Digimon and Fist Of The NorthStar, the website seems to have a few good titles.

But apart from that, there's nothing remarkable just yet. However, for someone who is a hardcore Comic-Con enthusiast, this place is like heaven.

19. AniPlus Asia

AniPlus Asia

If you live in Asia and want some free anime to enjoy your weekend, this website should be under your consideration.

Here, you can find anime like The Promised Neverland, Attack On Titan, DanMachi. All in all, it's a decent place to watch anime.

Not the best because apart from the title mentioned, there doesn't seem to be anything THAT outstanding.

Moreover, it is available for the selected Asian countries only so that's another problem. But for something as free as that, it seems like a considerable deal, right?

20. MidNight Pulp

MidNight Pulp

Entity Detail
Region Worldwide
Languages English, Japanese
Quality HD/FHD
Pricing Model Freemium, Subscription
Supported Devices Windows, Android, IOS

This is yet another popular website amongst content viewers online. Midnight Pulp offers a ton of amazing shows and TV series that you would love to watch this evening.

And it has a ton of anime as well. The problem is that their catalog only has obscure anime.

While that's a good thing since it allows you to watch some great anime like City Hunter, Pop Team Epic, and Amnesia, in the grand scheme of things, this catalog lacks the energy that is provided by new and fresh anime.

But if you are a fan of the old generation then Midnight Pulp can be a good choice.

21. 9anime

Entity Detail
Region Worldwide
Languages English, Japanese

Ladies and Gentlemen! This is a new segment for all of us! From here on, almost every website is going to be an illegal one.

We don't encourage any of you to be part of it in any way. However, for the sake of acknowledgment, we will mention the goods and bads of these websites.

If you have a few spare dollars then spend them on Crunchyroll or Netflix to enjoy those brilliant shows while also supporting the already messed up anime industry.

Entries from this point on may have their URL/catalog/services etc changed from time to time.

Anyway, the website we will be discussing here is none other than 9anime. It's a very popular platform for anyone who doesn't have money but has passion.

The purple color scheme and clean interface make it a great selection. And with titles like Naruto, Demon Slayer, Attack On Titan, and many many more, there's no doubt that this place was going to be incredible.

Rest In Peace! However, after its demise, a lot of "fake" KissAnime have popped up.

They are nowhere near as good as the original one was. However, they are still fairly good with their catalog and interface.

And reminds of the good days when finding anime was just a click away. This website is great if you wish to find some obscure anime.

And the green-black coloring is just so nostalgic. I bet many of you are already having tears in your eyes.

And that's why this website is even here.

26. Animefrenzy

Entity Detail

AnimeFrenzy is another illegal website that offers anime to be watched. The interesting thing that many of you might notice, right off the bat, is that it offers a lot of non-japanese anime.

You know, Korean and Chinese anime if you will. So if you are someone who wishes to broaden his or her horizon of animated viewing experience then this is just the website for you.

It has a cool design, a variety of shows, and great performance overall. I hope you have a fun time browsing and binging here.

Now Chia anime is a special case. Sometimes this website will work just fine. Sometimes it doesn't.

However, the catalog it offers is what makes it so appealing. I mean, I have opened it right in front of my eyes at the moment and the first three shows are Demon Slayer, Attack On Titan, and One Piece.

How can you ignore such a brilliant pool of anime at all? Moreover, it offers a lot of filters like genre, seasons, studio, status, etc.

So you can bet, you will find the anime you want here and that's for sure.

Give it a go. If it works for you then that's a plus!

The title of this website is quite something, am I right? Well, if you are someone who wishes to enjoy all sorts of animated shows then yes, this website can be heaven for you.

However, just beware of the millions of ads it has to offer. This website, just like others, has a very cool and attractive design placed forward for its viewers.

The catalog is also very strong with shoes like Slime Isekai and My Hero Academia right on the cover page.

So yeah, if you are into some fine anime experience then this platform might very well be, the anime heaven for you.

29. Animefreak

Entity Detail

This website has a magnificent impression on me, I will tell you that much. This place is where you will have a completely new type of engagement with the website.

It has minimal ads and offers a fine cart of shows including My Hero Academia, One Piece, and Naruto Shippuden.

I dare you to rewatch either Naruto or One Piece. I dare you! Anyway, this website also offers genre, type, and summaries right on the first page so you can be certain that your selection will meet up to your likings.

30. Animebee

Entity Detail
Region Worldwide
Languages English, Japanese
Quality HD/FHD
Pricing Model Free
Supported Devices Windows, Android, IOS

I just want you to take a random guess at what could be the color scheme for this website.

If you guessed yellow and black like a bee then congratulations! Your sanity is on par.

And if you thought anything else, you need some My Hero Academia tonight. Anyway, this website came out as a top search result for anyone searching for websites to binge anime.

And I must say, even though it has a ton of ads, its interface is quite impressive with motion and special covers.

I won't lie, it's quite an attractive website for an illegal one.

31. Zoro

Entity Detail
Region Worldwide
Languages English, Japanese
Quality HD/FHD
Pricing Model Free
Supported Devices Windows, Android, IOS

Zoro. Yes, Zoro! That's the name! Don't question it! Anyway, Zoro as a website is quite similar to Animebee.

The obvious difference is the color scheme. And if you are someone who has been watching anime for a while now then you might know that this man has a color scheme of green and white.

And also he is pretty impressive, just like the design of this website. I am not sure who made this website.

Maybe Zoro did. Who knows, he would have forgotten the path to the interest. So yeah, pretty great website and if you liked animebee then you will completely love this one.

32. Wcoanime

Entity Detail
Region Worldwide
Languages English
Quality SD/HD
Pricing Model Free
Supported Devices Windows, Android, IOS

The selling point of this website is the fact that it offers dubbed anime. So all my dub lovers, this website should be under your consideration.

As for the pool of shows it offers, the names are not THAT famous. They are pretty decent with A Certain Scientific Railgun and Bakugan going on!

Therefore, this website should be your priority only if you are heavily into dubs. So yeah, the website is a bit niche, and to be fair, its interface is not all that likable as well.

It's pretty plain and simple. But not in an aesthetic way. So that's a con if I were to say.

33. Animestream

Entity Detail
Region Worldwide
Languages English, Japanese
Quality HD/FHD
Pricing Model Free
Supported Devices Windows, Android, IOS

The best website on our list is the multicolored Anime Stream. Now, this website is amazing for anyone who wants to keep up with everything.

Every seasonal, every genre, etc. And he would be able to do so very well with only a few ads popping up.

This website also offers a great catalog with shows like One Piece, Attack On Titan, and Demon Slayer.

So all in all, it's a great website for you all. It doesn't haven't anything outstanding.

It does have a ton of filters that you can use. But apart from that, it seems simple and sober.

Something that many of us appreciate.

34. Anime World

Entity Detail
Region India
Languages English, Japanese, Hindi
Quality HD/FHD
Pricing Model Free
Supported Devices Windows, Android, IOS

Alright! If you are not from India then this website might not be something you will be interested in.

However, to all the Indians reading this, guys, I have found Jackpot. This website has a ton of cartoons in Hindi dub.

Yup! Cartoons like Ben 10 and Slugterra. As well as anime like Dragon Ball Z and Beyblade.

Imagine reliving your childhood! That would be incredible, right? And that's why this website is a hidden gem that we needed so much.

Either way, check it out as soon as you can. It might shut down!

35. CartoonCrazy

Entity Detail
Region Worldwide
Languages Japanese
Quality HD
Pricing Model Free
Supported Devices Windows, Android, IOS

Cartoon Crazy isn't exactly the best website when it comes to anime. The shows it offers are quite old and their interface isn't all that great as well.

You can't watch any popular anime or anime with an interesting story. Most of the series here are quite obscure and from the other generation.

Therefore, this website isn't ideal for anyone who wants some exciting engagement in their anime.

The presentation is quite basic as well and doesn't seem to have anything going for them.

Not recommended but if you like the shows then you can give it a try.

36. Ani.me

Entity Detail
Region USA
Languages English, Japanese
Quality SD
Pricing Model Free, Premium
Supported Devices Windows, Android, IOS

This website here started back in 2017. And to be fair, on the outside, it is quite a simple website.

They claim that they are the easiest to remember anime websites. And I do agree with that.

However, when it comes to utility, this website isn't the best at all. It only offers a handful of shows and its home page promotes anime like Trigun and Rio.

These are some obscure series that you might very well enjoy but in the grand scheme of things, these anime are not outstanding.

So if you are a casual fan then this might not be up to your liking.

37. WatchAnime

Entity Detail
Region Worldwide
Languages Japanese, English
Quality HD/FHD
Pricing Model Free
Supported Devices Windows, Android, IOS

Another website with a purple theme. I think there's a trend for such sites to exist, am I right?

Anyway, let me tell you about it a bit more. The website had a decent interface with titles like Zetman and Angel Beats on top of them.

We also got The Familiar Of Zero and Blue Ride so that's another plus. As you might have noticed, this website promotes underrated shows a lot so if you are a fan of such pieces then you know what to do.

It doesn't have many ads anyway so that's another plus.

38. Naruget

Entity Detail
Region Worldwide
Languages English, Japanese
Quality HD/FHD
Pricing Model Free
Supported Devices Windows, Android, IOS

Yup, that's exactly what you think it is. Just like Zoro, this website is named after Naruto.

However, the only difference is that Zoro had a huge library that involved anime, other than One Piece.

However, in the case of Naruget, it only offers 1 anime. And guess which anime it is!

Yup! Naruto! That's right ladies and gentlemen! If you wish to only watch stuff from the Naruto franchise whether it's a movie, filler, or even Boruto, this is the website for you.

It has the Naruto theme going on and also offers the series in multiple languages.

So all in all, this is heaven on the web for Naruto fans.

When I first saw Soul Anime, I thought, "Is this from the '90s?" Why? Because the website has some ridiculous User interface.

With blinking lights and childish presentation, it seems like a website a kid developed for his school project.

However, the website does offer bangers like Attack On Titan and Demon Slayer. So that's something we both can appreciate.

However, remember that it is an illegal website that you just can't rely on. It might get shut very soon and you wouldn't even realize it.

Keep that in mind.

And finally! At the last spot, we have 4anime. This website has a ton of ads and that's a major turn-off for fans.

However, it does have a very sleek and simple design going in for it. With titles like Demon Slayer and Mushoku Tensei, this website has a great variety of shows that all of us can enjoy.

Just as you would expect, it doesn't own any of the clips and video files and instead, uses them from third-party apps.

All in all, if you want some good anime sites that have some quality then this is the one you should go for!
