Anime is becoming an important source of entertainment and people across the globe are fascinated by it.

Anime like Fullmetal alchemist, demon slayer, Tokyo revengers, and Haikyuu have given much-needed attention and many of us are spending a lot of time finding platforms to watch them.

This article from ENTOIN lists 40 platforms/websites that have plenty of anime in their library. Some of these platforms are subscription-based while others are free. So, no matter what’s your budget, you can find at least one website/app which will fulfill your need.

Let’s review each website without any further delay.

This shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone at all! Netflix is the King when it comes to online streaming and its domination of the anime market is no exception.

This service was started even before Google did (in 1997 to be exact) and over the past few years, they have had an immense amount of growth.

Therefore, you can be certain that this website deserves the top rank for sure. Plus, in recent times, they have started to take aggressive moves toward the anime medium and so, their collection has some of the most amazing shows you can find.

From Death Note to Assassination Classroom, from Violet Evergarden to Saiki K. They have it all!

And they offer it at a minimal rate as well. And that’s why they are at the top of this list.

Recently, Netflix is working on producing a lot of live-action movies based on popular anime and mangas. Now that is something anime fans are looking forward to.

2. Crunchyroll

Crunchyroll

This one shouldn’t be a surprise either. If you have been a fan of anime for a while, you would know about Crunchyroll.

This service is made for anime so weebs like you and me can have a fun time here. The whole platform is just to serve anime to people worldwide. It is like one big collection of all famous anime.

It started back in 2006 and has a massive collection of anime, probably the biggest among all of the websites mentioned on this list.

And the best part is that you can access this website for free as well.

They offer simulcasts and have a ton of other shows apart from the mainstream ones as well.

And hey, they support the industry as well. So for hardcore anime fans, Crunchyroll is THE place to go for.

And if you haven’t checked out this orange yet, now’s your chance.

3. YouTube

YouTube

Now, this might come as a surprise to many of you but YouTube has a lot of anime.

But here’s the dilemma. Not all of them are legal. You see, on YouTube, we have channels like Animelog, Muse Asia, AniOne, etc that offer licensed anime.

However, sometimes, you can access an anime illegally uploaded by a user as well. Either way, you can find some fine anime on this website.

The website started in 2005 and didn’t have much anime back then but the case is a bit different today.

This is not the best place if you are heavily into anime but you know, it’s YouTube.

There’s another level of trust and acquaintance going on with this platform. And that is why it seems right at the place with the 3rd rank.

And during the Covid lockdown, many anime publishers uploaded their anime on YouTube for viewers to be entertained during such hard times.

4. Amazon Prime

Amazon Prime

If you are not a fan of Netflix then Amazon Prime can be a great choice for you.

You see, in every industry, there’s competition. And OTT services are no exception. So to break down the monopoly of the Red N, Big Boy Bezos made room for Amazon Prime Video in 2006.

This platform offers a lot of TV shows and movies that you would love to enjoy while laying on your couch.

The anime segment specifically isn’t the greatest of all time. But it has some fine shows like Vinland Saga and Dororo.

Therefore, you won’t be disappointed with the content offered at all. Try your hands on it, maybe this will be your next favorite app.

5. Funimation

Funimation

Entity Detail
Region US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, Mexico, Brazil, and New Zealand
Languages English, Japanese, Spanish, Portuguese
Quality HD/FHD

As I said before, in every industry, there’s competition. And while we do have Amazon as a competition for Netflix, we also have Funimation as a competition for Crunchyroll.

I think many of you might have noticed that a lot of anime you watch start with the Funimation logo.

Even if you aren’t watching it on Funimation, why does it happen? Well, that’s because these guys are the kings of anime in dubs.

It started back in 2005, just like Crunchyroll, these guys dominate when it comes to anime acquisition and their platform offers a wide variety of shows which includes beasts like Attack On Titan and Demon Slayer.

And I guess it is because of this strength that this platform and Crunchyroll have the same parent company now.

I guess anime fans are going to have a great future ahead of them.

6. Hulu

Hulu

Entity Detail
Region USA, Japan

I think most of you might not be aware of this service. And I don’t blame you at all.

After all, this platform is exclusive to the USA and has a subscription cap on it as well.

So yeah, don’t think you are not the biggest weeb in case you didn’t know about it.

But remember, for being a 2007 release, this platform is quite old. Anyway, Hulu is another legal source for watching anime.

As said before, it is region exclusive so you might not be able to access it THAT easily.

However, if you do manage to get your hands on it, you will be able to watch some bangers like Attack On Titan and Demon Slayer.

And I think that’s good enough, right?

I think. Anyway, AnimeLab is another anime offering service that lets you watch anime for free as well as with a subscription.

It began its tenure back in 2014 and its catalog includes My Hero Academia, One Punch Man, and The Promised Neverland which are some amazing series that you need to watch if you haven’t already.

This website, just like most others so far, is a legal streaming service that has a wide variety of shows to offer.

Their best feature is that they offer a lot of obscure anime as well which might be hard to come by otherwise.

By the way, this website is said to be fairly new, being started in 2017.

As far as mainstream shows go, this platform offers bangers like Legend Of The Galactic Heroes, Clannad After Story, and Haikyuu.

Yeah, I can already see a ton of fans getting inclined to get their hands on HiDive.

Out of all the websites mentioned so far, VRV is probably going to be the least known one.

Mainly because of its presence in this tight market. Anyway, VRV is a streaming service available in the USA that offers anime to fans who are craving it.

And more importantly, their methods are legal. The platform showed up in 2016 and if we talk about their catalog, it includes amazing shows like Tokyo Revengers and My Hero Academia.

How on Earth can we watch anime on AnimePlanet? I mean, it’s a website only for anime info and listing, right?

Well, not exactly. You see, AnimePlanet is just like My Anime List, AniList, or Kitsu at first.

However, what makes this platform stand out so much more is its partnership with Crunchyroll.

Their catalog isn’t all that big. And it would be much wiser for you to check out Crunchyroll if you are a hardcore anime fan.

But if you just want to watch a few anime here and there casually, then AT&T can be a good choice.

Tubi is a rather unknown website for anime fandom. And it’s a bit sad considering how convenient this website is.

You can watch anime for free and yes, their catalog isn’t all that great, but they still have some fine series like Pokemon and Midori Days to offer.

And a ton of obscure shows like Junkers Come Here and The Daichi as well.

I think when you don’t have to pay anything and the ads are minimal, this is a fairly decent deal, right?

They offer some good anime like Great Teacher Onizuka and Honey & Clover. For a website that has minimal ads, this is quite something.

The interface is quite interactive with its video comment feature, video script, etc. This website also happens to have a good number of anime that you can watch and have a fun time with.

With Digimon and Fist Of The North Star, the website seems to have a few good titles.

But apart from that, there’s nothing remarkable just yet. However, for someone who is a hardcore Comic-Con enthusiast, this place is like heaven.

Not the best because apart from the title mentioned, there doesn’t seem to be anything THAT outstanding.

Moreover, it is available for the selected Asian countries only so that’s another problem. But for something as free as that, it seems like a considerable deal, right?

MidNight Pulp

Entity Detail

And it has a ton of anime as well. The problem is that their catalog only has obscure anime.

While that’s a good thing since it allows you to watch some great anime like City Hunter, Pop Team Epic, and Amnesia, in the grand scheme of things, this catalog lacks the energy that is provided by new and fresh anime.

But if you are a fan of the old generation then Midnight Pulp can be a good choice.

They are nowhere near as good as the original one was. However, they are still fairly good with their catalog and interface.

And reminds of the good days when finding anime was just a click away. This website is great if you wish to find some obscure anime.

Zoro. Yes, Zoro! That’s the name! Don’t question it! Anyway, Zoro as a website is quite similar to Animebee.

The obvious difference is the color scheme. And if you are someone who has been watching anime for a while now then you might know that this man has a color scheme of green and white.

And also he is pretty impressive, just like the design of this website. I am not sure who made this website.

Maybe Zoro did. Who knows, he would have forgotten the path to the interest. So yeah, pretty great website and if you liked animebee then you will completely love this one.

32. Animeland

Within Animeland, you have access to a vast collection of anime with subtitles and dubs from trustworthy sources such as mp4upload, vidstream, streamtape, and mycloud.

The platform highlights the most renowned anime series in the world in its “Favorite Anime” section.

While numerous free anime websites exist, they often provide subpar-quality copies and carry the potential danger of malware and viruses.

Animeland, on the other hand, guarantees a safe and pleasurable streaming experience by offering content in high-definition resolution, ensuring swift loading times, and maintaining an ad-free environment.

This is what makes the website so unique and fresh for the audience.

Give it a go before it loses its charm.

33. Animestream

Alright! If you are not from India then this website might not be something you will be interested in.

However, to all the Indians reading this, guys, I have found Jackpot. This website has a ton of cartoons in Hindi dubs.

Yup! Cartoons like Ben 10 and Slugterra. As well as anime like Dragon Ball Z and Beyblade.

Imagine reliving your childhood! That would be incredible, right? And that’s why this website is a hidden gem that we needed so much.

Either way, check it out as soon as you can. It might shut down!

35. CartoonCrazy

Entity Detail
Region Worldwide
Languages Japanese
Quality HD
Pricing Model Free
Supported Devices Windows, Android, IOS

Cartoon Crazy isn’t exactly the best website when it comes to anime. The shows it offers are quite old and its interface isn’t all that great as well.

You can’t watch any popular anime or anime with an interesting story. Most of the series here are quite obscure and from the other generation.

Therefore, this website isn’t ideal for anyone who wants some exciting engagement in their anime.

The presentation is quite basic as well and doesn’t seem to have anything going for them.

Not recommended but if you like the shows then you can give it a try.

36. Ani.me

Entity Detail
Region USA
Languages English, Japanese
Quality SD
Pricing Model Free, Premium
Supported Devices Windows, Android, IOS

This website here started back in 2017. And to be fair, on the outside, it is quite a simple website.

They claim that they are the easiest to remember anime websites. And I do agree with that.

However, when it comes to utility, this website isn’t the best at all. It only offers a handful of shows and its home page promotes anime like Trigun and Rio.

These are some obscure series that you might very well enjoy but in the grand scheme of things, these anime are not outstanding.

So if you are a casual fan then this might not be up to your liking.

37. WatchAnime

Entity Detail
Region Worldwide
Languages Japanese, English
Quality HD/FHD

Another website with a purple theme. I think there’s a trend for such sites to exist, am I right?

Anyway, let me tell you about it a bit more. The website had a decent interface with titles like Zetman and Angel Beats on top of them.

We also got The Familiar Of Zero and Blue Ride so that’s another plus. As you might have noticed, this website promotes underrated shows a lot so if you are a fan of such pieces then you know what to do.

It doesn’t have many ads anyway so that’s another plus.

38. Naruget

Entity Detail
Region Worldwide
Languages English, Japanese
Quality HD/FHD

Supported Devices Windows, Android, IOS

Yup, that’s exactly what you think it is. Just like Zoro, this website is named after Naruto.

However, the only difference is that Zoro had a huge library that involved anime, other than One Piece.

However, in the case of Naruget, it only offers 1 anime. And guess which anime it is!

Yup! Naruto! That’s right ladies and gentlemen! If you wish to only watch stuff from the Naruto franchise whether it’s a movie, filler, or even Boruto, this is the website for you.

It has the Naruto theme going on and also offers the series in multiple languages.

So all in all, this is heaven on the web for Naruto fans.

When I first saw Soul Anime, I thought, “Is this from the ’90s?” Why? Because the website has some ridiculous User interface.

With blinking lights and childish presentation, it seems like a website a kid developed for his school project.

However, the website does offer bangers like Attack On Titan and Demon Slayer. So that’s something we both can appreciate.

However, remember that it is an illegal website that you just can’t rely on. It might get shut very soon and you wouldn’t even realize it.

Keep that in mind.

And finally! At the last spot, we have 4anime. This website has a ton of ads and that’s a major turn-off for fans.

However, it does have a very sleek and simple design going in for it. With titles like Demon Slayer and Mushoku Tensei, this website has a great variety of shows that all of us can enjoy.

Just as you would expect, it doesn’t own any of the clips and video files and instead, uses them from third-party apps.

All in all, if you want some good anime sites that have some quality then this is the one you should go for!
