Using these breathing styles, characters in the narrative become more and more powerful as they spend more and more time training for it. And the people at the highest rank of the Demon Slayer Corps are known as Hashiras.

Since these are the strongest warriors in the show, they are always a subject of attention in the series. And in this article, we are going to rank all of them.

I hope you enjoy it.

1. Gyomei Himejima

gyomei himejima

Gyomei Himejima is the Stone Hashira who is known for his excellence as the strongest in the group. That’s right, he is the strongest Hashira of the current generation, all thanks to his strength.

In fact, he is one of the only Hashiras in the show who doesn’t rely on swords to take care of demons. Instead, he uses spiked flail and axe for his attack.

It is said that Himejima’s fighting style boils down to his unreal strength. The fact that he is blind but still manages to take down his enemies so seamlessly makes him such a formidable opponent in the first place.

The fact that this man can defeat high-ranked demons without breaking a sweat, makes him a force to be reckoned with. And although his back story is pretty tragic, his skills and hard work is so much more captivating for his character.

2. Sanemi Shinazugawa

sanemi shinazugawa

Sanemi Shinazugawa is a character that goes on to shape the way we look at the series and the characters that are a part of it. Initially, fans were a bit annoyed with Sanemi because of his behavior with Nezuko when she was brought forward to the head of the Demon Slayer corps.

The way he treated her at that time made fans dislike Sanemi a lot. However, soon enough, we get to know about his back story and that’s where he was able to redeem himself for the audience.

This man has experienced right in front of his eyes. And once you know that, you will realize why he is one of the finest in the series.

His ability to hold himself on the battleground, without having any God-gifted abilities like extreme strength, makes him a warrior of his generation. Sanemi and his capabilities far exceed our expectations and that’s why he is so special.

3. Giyu Tomioka

giyu tomioka

He may be a loner but he is extremely strong. Giyu is one of the most popular Hashiras in the series, all thanks to his early introduction. Being one of the best in the story, this man has had feats that can’t be compared to anyone.

The most fascinating part about his character was portrayed in the anime when he took down Rui, the spider demon with just one slash. The 11th form shook the audience from their core and surprised them like there was no tomorrow.

He is a menace on the battlefield and that’s one of the many reasons why is ranked here on our list. Now there isn’t a particular way to ensure that Giyu is in fact one of the strongest hashira altogether. However, the fact that people like Sanemi and Obanai respect him to some degree definitely proves it.

4. Muichiro Tokito

muichiro tokito

He is young. And there’s no doubt that he is one of the most potent Demon Slayers in the entire series. Muichiro Tokito is one of the lead characters in the third season of the anime.

And he may seem absent-minded at first. However, this guy managed to become a Hashira at the age of 14. Think about it. He was going to be at the top of the ladder at the age of a teenager.

His potential was unreal since he managed to become a Hashira with just 2 months of training. Let’s just say that he is the true prodigy in the show. His feats are too good to ignore.

For him, the core reason for his presence on this list, isn’t the fact that he is extremely strong at the moment. It’s the fact that he holds the most potential out of all the Hashira in the series. And being a descendant of the first hashira, you can’t really expect anything lower from him, can you?

5. Obanai Iguro

obanai iguro

Obanai is a bit different than you might expect. You see, this guy is quite a formidable opponent when it comes to his skill. However, as a top-notch fighter, he also has his ego going on for him.

And as we have seen in Blue Lock, ego is quite important to be a great competitor. He is a man who respects the rules and follows them till the last breath.

Therefore, if you wish to see some disciplined warriors then he is one of the best to go for. He ensures that his duties and comrades are safe. He is the serpent hashira and so, he understands that his position and responsibilities far exceed his emotions. Moreover, his attitude definitely brings more flavour to his character.

6. Mitsuri Kanroji

Mitsuri Kanroji

Probably the most attractive character in the series is Mitsuri Kanroji. She is the Love Hashira who happens to be a very skilled warrior in the show. It has been stated that her skin is almost 8 times as thick as that of a normal human.

And that’s why this Hashira is a force to be reckoned with. And don’t misjudge her for her name. She may be a Love Hashira, however, she doesn’t mess around with her enemies.

She is going to take care of every demon in front of her. And her excellence in doing so is what makes her so captivating in the first place.

7. Kyojuro Rengoku

Kyojuro Rengoku

UMAI! This man is absolutely stunning. He is the legendary Hashira, Kyojuro Rengoku. And let’s just say that his presence changed the way fans looked at the series altogether. He is known for his role in the Mugen Train arc and the way he manages that arc is absolutely unreal.

He went up against the Upper Moon rank 3 in the series. And that battle was nothing less than a spectacle for the audience. Even the Upper Moon Rank 3, Akaza was impressed with Kyojuro’s skills.

And as a true Hashira, our boy died for the sake of humanity. He was an absolute beast.

8. Shinobu Kocho

Shinobu Kocho

Her past was nothing less than miserable. And that’s what makes her so fascinating in the first place. She may look like a sadist but her life justifies that behavior.

Shinobu is the insect Hashira who is known for her status as the only Hashira that doesn’t decapitate her opponents. Instead, she uses a special kind of poison that slowly kills demons.

And this makes a lot of sense considering that Shinobu is a warrior with a fairly weak body. However, she is someone who has that inner rage for demons that allows her to outperform anyone against her.

9. Tengen Uzui

Tengen Uzui

The flashiest character in the town is here. And that’s quite fitting considering that he is a monster in disguise. This man is just flamboyant in every regard you can think of.

He has 3 freaking wives! What a legend! However, there’s no denying that the Sound Hashira is a freak of nature. He was the lead character in the Entertainment District Arc.

And as the lead character, he stole the spotlight very well. His battle against the Upper Moon Rank 6 was absolutely gorgeous. And he was such an amazing warrior that he managed to fight, even without his hands.

10. Shinjuro Rengoku

Shinjuro Rengoku

From what we have been introduced in the series, Shinjuro is nothing but a drunkard who is always screaming. However, behind that frustrated face is a past that changed him from the core.

This man was the former Flame Hashira and his excellence was appreciated by all. However, one day, his wife ended up getting diagnosed with an incurable disease. And that’s what changed it all for him.

He gave up on his duties as a Hashira and started to feel that there was no meaning to life at all. And although the situation elevates a bit, in the grand scheme of things, his trauma becomes permanent.

11. Kanae Kocho

Kanae Kocho

While Shinobu is a sadist, Kanae was an optimistic warrior who was always kind and generous to all around her. She was the one who took Kanao Tsuyuri under her training and made her the beast that she is today.

Not only that, this woman was a force to be reckoned with in her era. She was the Flower Hashira whose skills were second to none. We don’t know much about her but the fact that she was a Hashira definitely says a lot.

Moreover, she was the one who wanted Demons and Humans to co-exist. And although such a utopian dream would never be fulfilled, the thought tells us a lot about her caring personality.

12. Jigoro Kuwajima

Jigoro Kuwajima

Being a former Demon Slayer, Jigoro understands his duty of shaping the next generation of Demon Slayers. And that’s why he decided to teach our boy Zenitsu. The idea here is that Jigoro isn’t all that strong anymore.

However, during his days as the Thunder Hashira, he was a menace. He used to take down enemies without breaking a sweat. And that’s what gave him the title of ‘Roaring Hashira’ as well.

If you are someone who wants to enjoy all the demon slayers and their backstories then Jigoro is the one you should start with. He is a man of value and discipline.

13. Sakonji Urokodaki

Sakonji Urokodaki

The man who trained our boy Giyu. Sakonji was the one who was approached by Tanjiro for his Demon Slayer training. And despite knowing that Nezuko is a demon, he still decides to train Tanjiro and tries to figure out a cure for Nezuko.

There’s a reason why fans love this man so much. He has been a fulfilling character altogether who has entertained the audience in his own regard. His skills are still formidable, to say the least, and the fact that he is an outstanding Hashira makes him a memorable name in the realm of Demon Slayer.
