The battle between Yoruichi and SoiFon is certainly one of the best in the series. After years, through this fight, Soi Fon is finally able to convey her grief and disdain to Yoruichi.

Ymir, however, did inherit the power of the Jaw Titan. She was the closest to Christa Ymir was most probably in love with Christa and not in a platonic way.

 

 

16. Konan (Naruto)

 

 

We were first introduced to Konan as a member of the infamous Akatsuki. Though she debuted as a villain, Konan soon became a beloved character.

 

In the flashback arcs, we see Konan as one of Nagato’s old, childhood friends. She is always seen silently standing beside him and supporting him in every way possible.

 

She is a truly loyal companion. After Akatsuki, she moves on to heading the Amegakure. She even gives her everything to protect Naruto when she realizes that Nagato had entrusted his dream to him.

Her use of paper is almost similar to Gaara’s use of sand as it can both attack her enemies and protect her.

Utahime Iori is the student supervisor for the Kyoto division of Jujutsu High School. We are first introduced to her right before the class between the Tokyo and Kyoto divisions.

 

Her cursed technique involves superhuman strength and heightened senses. As a supervisor, she is very prim and proper. She is both kind and stern with her students and is always trying to set a good example for them.

 

However, Gojou always manages to get on her nerve. The two of them appear to have a cat-and-dog relationship.

 

As for her appearance, Utahime is always seen wearing traditional Japanese robes. She has long and straight dark hair and a visible scar across her face.

 

 

18. Nanami Momozono (Kamisama Kiss)

 

 

Nanami Momozono is the main protagonist of the anime Kamisama Kiss. She possesses all the qualities of a good shoujo protagonist.

Her basketball acumen might have developed as an influence from her father who used to be a professional basketball player in the Japanese National Team.

She holds herself in high regard because of her family name but is not nearly as conceited as her cousin Erina Nakiri.

This cute maid can turn into a deadly demon who murders ruthlessly. Rem and Ram’s story form an important part of the anime.

 

Even her relationship with Subaru undergoes major development throughout the show. Even though she is not the main female protagonist of this anime, her story forms an important part of the plot.

 

Rem constantly feels guilty about her sister’s lack of horns and always tries to overcompensate for it. She is truly kind and caring but the ghosts of her past continue to haunt her.

 

 

27. Nobuo Terashima (NANA)

 

 

Nobuo Terashima, commonly known as Nobu, is an old friend of Nana; in fact, he was the only one who was able to befriend her in high school.

 

He and Nana connected over their love of punk music. Despite coming from an affluent family, Nobu is a truly hard-working musician and has a true passion for the craft.

 

He is not the best drinker and gets quite sloppy after a few drinks. As for his personality, he is a bright and kind person who will not hesitate to stand up for his friends and beliefs.

He joined the Shinsengumi as a spy later in his youth. His appearance is quite plain and unremarkable which, he admits, actually helps his job as a spy.

 

One of his biggest personality quirks is his love for badminton. He is often seen practicing badminton when he should be working and ends up getting heavily reprimanded for it.

 

His powers change drastically throughout the show, and by the end of it, he reaches a much higher level of strength and ability.

However, Kou’s story is quite interesting in itself too. He works as an idol in the human world and has developed a false charismatic personality to hide his true self.

 

He appears cheerful but is heavily traumatized by his childhood. Being abandoned in a manhole as a kid, Kou is seen remembering his dream of being free under the blue skies.

 

His pain has had a strong bearing on him which is why he can switch from a cheerful person to a vicious monster in seconds.

Haruka Tenou is the civilian identity assumed by Sailor Uranus. She is the most androgynous of all the sailor moons.

This badass woman is quite comfortable riding a motorcycle and manning a helicopter as well. She is the epitome of a girl crush and draws in both male and female fans.

31. Taiga Kamiya (Eyeshield 21)

 

 

Taiga Kamiya is the ace quarterback of the Misaki Wolves. He is also the captain of the team and therefore an extremely valuable player.

 

Kamiya is hardly humble about his skills; he never spares any opportunity to boast about them. He led his team to the Kanto Tournament where they were representing Hokkaido.

 

Taiga is especially proud of his legs and how fast he can run with them. Even though he is not ultimately better than Riku or the Gunmen, he puts up a great fight against them.

Kagetora Aida is one of the side characters in the anime but his personality makes him truly memorable. He is the father of Riko Aida, the extremely young and talented coach of Seiring High.

 

A lot of Riko’s knowledge of basketball comes from her father’s influence. Kagetora used to be a successful basketball player himself and had played professionally in the national Japanese team.

 

One might think Riko is an extremely strict coach but she is nowhere near as brutal as her father.

 

We see Kagetora’s coaching techniques when he finally agreed to coach Seirin before the Winter Cup competition. Kagetora is quite quirky and his overprotective tendencies toward his daughter make for great comedy.

 

He even went as far as to threaten the Seirin boys with a gun lest they try to put their hands on his daughter.

 

 

34. Lloyd Asplund (Code Geass)

 

 

Lloyd Asplund from Code Geass is quite an interesting character. He is not exactly likable but has certain good traits that make him an appealing character.

 

He is an earl amongst the Britannian nobility and used to a life of affluence. He refers to himself as a sociopath as he tends to prioritize his goals over his relationships.

 

He is often seen treating and viewing humans as nothing more than tools. He is a man of science and is seen devoting most of his time to it.

On the surface, Grisha was a regular hardworking father trying to support his family. He worked as a doctor within the walls and saved countless lives doing what he does.

 

Eren seemed closer to his mother than his father but their chemistry gradually unfolds as the show progresses.

 

Grisha had lived through a torturous childhood and was aware of information and secrets that could entirely change the notions of humanity that people within the walls grew up believing.

Carla Yeager was not in the show for too long but the part she played was a very important one.

 

It was her unfortunate fate that set Eren on his path and led him to become the formidable character he grows up to be.

 

In the beginning season of Attack on Titan, we are introduced to Carla Yeager as Eren’s mother. Like any good mother, she is loving and caring and is always concerned about Eren’s well-being.

Using his Anivoice ability, Koji can command any member of the animal kingdom, be it birds or bugs. His versatile quirk has been of great help on multiple occasions.

 

However, for him to activate his quirk, the animals he is communicating with must be within earshot and should be able to hear his command.

 

Koji has a brutal and intimidating appearance but his personality is just the opposite. He is soft-spoken, shy, and introverted and prefers to spend his time with animals rather than humans.

 

 

39. Mado Kureo (Tokyo Ghoul)

 

 

Mado Kureo is one of the most intimidating antagonists of the Tokyo Ghoul series. However, given the premise of this show, it is very hard to point fingers and call people heroes and villains.

 

Mado was a first-class ghoul investigator and the former partner of Koutarou Amon, also a ghoul investigator. Mado felt a psychotic rage toward ghouls and it was for good reason.

 

He had to watch his wife being murdered by the One-eyed Ghoul right in front of his eyes. He has been mercilessly killing ghouls since then and had lost most of his sanity in the process.

 

Mado’s appearance is as psychotic as his behavior. He has mid-length white hair and eyes that scream crazy. Despite that, Amon greatly valued him as a partner.

 

 

40. Takayuki Kiryu (STEAL!)

 

 

Takayuki is one of the principal characters of the anime ‘STEAL!’. With the codename “Invisible Hacker”, Takayuki is a vital member of the group Griff.

 

He is extremely handy with technology and works for the police force in real life. Takayuki is not the friendliest person, he is usually cold and meritocratic.

 

He can even get aggressive at times especially when he needs to gain some information. Apart from being good at tampering with machines, Takayuki can also make bombs and is certainly a force to be reckoned with.

 

Takayuki has massive trust issues which are quite the Aquarius of him. He is skeptical of almost everyone and feels most comfortable relying on himself.

 

 

41. Juno (Beastars)

 

 

The anime Beastars has given us some very interesting and complex characters and Juno is certainly one of them.

 

She is a large gray wolf just like our beloved protagonist Legosi but their personalities are widely different. Compared to the socially awkward and introverted Legosi, Juno is jolly and naturally charismatic.

 

She is a girl on a mission and has important ambitions to achieve. She wished to become the future Beastar by competing with Louis to create a more fair world for the carnivores.

 

It might take the audience some time to see Juno’s charm as she can sometimes come off as self-centered; however, as the show progresses, she emerges as quite the lovable character.

 

 

42. Ren Tsuruga (Skip-Beat)

 

 

Next on our list, we have got another Ren however, his real name is Kuon Hizuri. Ren is Kuon’s stage name which he uses as an actor for the LME company.

 

Ren is not only a highly acclaimed actor but has also been ranked as Japan’s most desirable man. He is generally strong-willed but sometimes his childish personality comes out as well.

 

He is often seen hiding his true self to please people and keep up his gentlemanly image in front of everyone.

 

And he is of course a great hit with the ladies as well. Ren’s integrity as an actor is truly commendable.

 

Not only does he take great pride in acting he also feels no need to respect people who do not show sincerity towards the art of acting; this was also the reason behind his initial conflict with the female protagonist Kyoko.

 

 

43. Echidna (Re: Zero Season 2)

 

 

Echidna is a true Aquarius – highly intelligent and intimidatingly evil. She is often referred to as the witch of Greed and is a major villain in the anime.

 

She appears charming but is guilty of committing numerous vile atrocities against mankind; this includes straight-up manslaughter, psychological abuse, and even illegal experimentation.

 

Her greed for knowledge is endless and she will go through all means to acquire it. Like the other witches, Echidna too suffered greatly and was on the brink of death because of the evil witch Satella.

 

However, just in the nick of time, she was able to create a dream-like world to keep herself safe.

 

However, she is eventually resurrected back into the world of the living.

 

 

44. Haruhi Fujioka (Ouran Highschool Host Club)

 

 

We have a lot of tomboys in the anime world but the character of Haruhi Fujioka has its way of standing out.

 

She initially started as pretty and feminine before joining Ouran High School. However, her appearance and personality underwent a drastic change after joining this prestigious high school.

 

Even though she comes from a middle-class family, among the elites of Ouran High School she is considered poor but even so, she is not a character that requires anyone’s pity.

 

Through some strange accident, Haruhi ends up joining the host club at Ouran Academy. She is expected to behave like an actual host and entertain ladies who come to talk and spend some time with charming young boys.

 

Though befuddled at first, Haruhi doesn’t seem to do a bad job in her new role.

 

 

45. Lisa Yadomaru (Bleach)

 

 

Lisa Yadomaru is not one of the most memorable characters of Bleach but can we blame her? Bleach throws multiple great characters during each new arc.

 

Nevertheless, she is an interesting character who deserves our attention. Lisa is a visor but she initially started as a lieutenant of the 8th division squad of soul society, headed by Captain Kyoraku.

 

However, she swiftly rose through the ranks to become the captain. Even among the visors, Lisa is especially calm and calculative.

 

But at the same time, she is quite temperamental and irritable as well; we can always count on an Aquarius to give us the best of both worlds.

 

She may come off as cold and distant, but she cares deeply about those close to her.

 

 

46. Wisely Kamelot (D.Gray-man)

 

 

Next on our list, we have an antagonist. Wisely wields the formidable power of the “Demon Eye” and was a powerful antagonist during the Exorcists Arc.

 

He is also the 5th disciple of the prestigious Noah family. Like most other members of the Noah family, Wisely harbors deep hatred towards all Innocence and Exorcists.

 

His three main powers are mind reading, mind manipulation, and mind investigation. He also has complete control over Akuma as a member of the Noah family.

 

Despite his immense powers and capabilities, Wisely does not appear too intimidating. He has the appearance of an aloof teenager and is often seen as distracted or lost in thought.

 

 

47. Tsukuyo (Gintama)

 

 

Tsukuyo from Gintama is a strong and fierce female character. She heads the law enforcement group called Hyakka in the Yoshiwara district.

 

Hyakka is an all-female group that has been deployed by the Night King. Tsukuyo’s character is badass though she is not exactly the most loyal character.

 

She took very little time to change sides when the odds seemed bad. Nevertheless, she is still quite noble and works for the well-being of others.

 

Tsukuyo goes by the name of “courtesan of death”; she did not receive this name because of being an actual courtesan; she is called the courtesan of death because of how she saves multiple girls from unsavory patrons and is not afraid to be violent about it.

 

 

48. Xenovia Quarta (High School DxD) 

 

 

Xenovia Quarta, a prominent female protagonist in High School DxD, attends Kuoh Academy as a third-year student in Class 3-B.

 

She possesses exceptional skills in wielding the Durandal as a natural-born Holy Sword user.

 

After discovering the truth about God’s death during the war, she was expelled from the Church and subsequently joined the Occult Research Club, becoming Rias’ second Knight alongside Yuuto.

 

Following Issei’s promotion, she now serves as his first Knight and is counted among his fiancées.

 

Initially, Xenovia exhibited a composed and serious nature, prioritizing her missions and speaking sparingly.

 

Her demeanour was often cold and unforgiving, as evidenced by her harsh treatment of Asia, whom she labelled a witch for her involuntary transformation into a Devil in order to be with Issei.

 

She similarly threatened Kiba, who was temporarily considered a Stray.

 

 

49. Serena (Pokemon)

 

 

Serena, a character in Pokémon the Series, is a Pokémon Trainer and Performer hailing from the Kalos region.

 

During Ash Ketchum’s adventures in Kalos, she becomes one of his travel companions.

 

Serena’s ultimate aspiration is to attain the prestigious title of Kalos Queen, which is bestowed upon the most accomplished Pokémon Performers.

 

Her infatuation with Ash originates from a past encounter where he aided her in a time of need, and her affectionate demeanour is often revealed through blushing and awe in his presence.

 

Although initially rebellious, Serena possesses an amiable and well-mannered nature, constantly demonstrating concern for her friends’ well-being, particularly Ash.

 

Furthermore, she harbours a keen passion for fashion, consistently seeking out the most beautiful and stylish ensembles.

 

 

50. Ren Jinguuji (Uta No Prince-Sama Maji Love 1000)

 

 

Ren is the typical popular guy at school. Besides being a member of the esteemed S-class, he is also a member of the idol group ‘Starish’.

 

Ren is tall and handsome with strawberry blond hair that comes down to his shoulders. Therefore, naturally, he is a hit with the ladies.

 

He is extremely flirtatious and known to be an avid smooth talker. He is often seen flattering women with his flirtatious smooth talk.

 

Ren is also extremely wealthy. He is the second son of the esteemed Jinguuji family and has no heavy responsibilities or financial concerns weighing him down.

 

This makes him a carefree and also somewhat apathetic character. However, meeting Haruka, made Ren re-discover his passion for music and singing.
