Her name is Misaki and she has a secret. Despite being a perfectionist, she is working at a Maid Cafe and that's against the rules of the school. Unfortunately, Usui, the most popular guy in the school, ends up finding out about her.

 

And now he is going to tease her so much that she will be annoyed. Her secret must be kept by Usui and therefore, she will serve him so much more.

 

In this anime, the male is liked MORE than the female. Interesting, right?

Therefore, this anime is going to focus on these characters and their interrelationships that develop over time. And soon, we will be faced with some heart-melting romance for us. Honey And Clover are as adorable as an anime gets.

Soon, they both start to get along and later help each other to propose their crushes. Which are their alternate best friends? So yeah, seeing them confess to each other's best friend is going to be fun.

 

But what's going to be even more fun is their relationship together.

The next anime on our list, ladies and gentlemen, is a work of art, I must say. And this is because that show is way too cute to be true.

 

Boys and girls, I hope you have your attention on Love, Chunibyo, and Other Delusions. This anime talks about a boy named Yuuta who experiences a phenomenon called Chunibyo where he assumes himself to be mystically special.

 

However, after overcoming his dumb phase of Chunibyo, he is then met with Rikka who is experiencing the same. And their life gets intersected in a fun and hilarious fashion.

 

This anime is amazing in terms of characters and animation. Just beautiful.

 

 

24. The Quintessential Quintuplets

 

 

 

The Quintessential Quintuplets series is for those who are way too deep in the realm of rom-com. I hope you can listen to me. The show talks about a boy named Fuutarou who is very good in his grades and other academic sectors.

 

However, his financial sector is a bit lacking. Therefore, my boy became a teacher for 5 sisters. However, those sisters happened to be Quintuplets and are horrible in their studies.

 

And this is where a love story filled with a harem is about to begin. This show is amazing and if you don't agree with me, you haven't watched it.

 

 

23. Tonikaku Kawaii

 

 

 

If I were to make a list of wholesome romance anime, I think I will keep this piece way too high. A series where the main characters aren't in love or relationship.

 

They are a married couple. Yup, this one is THAT unique. And that is why Tonikaku Kawai gained insane traction right after its release. People were having an incredible time blushing at the relationships between our lead characters and their beautiful moments on screen.

 

I won't lie, I want a relationship like that. I hope my future wife is reading this and she has already watched Tonikaku Kawai.

A show about hot boys and romance? Not something new you would say. However, the romance is between boys AND girls. Now, this is something worthwhile. Ouran High School Host Club is an anime that talks about a girl named Haruhi who ends up becoming a part of a male host club.

 

And now she must do all she can to please the women that attend this host club. And let's just say that in the process of pleasuring the woman in the room, she is going to experience some very interesting feelings.

Very rarely do we get to see anime like these? And I believe that's why we must cherish them when we get the chance. The story of Working! follows a bunch of people working at a family restaurant called Wagnaria and their daily life at that place.

 

From the chef to the waiters, this restaurant is always filled with a cheerful attitude that you can't help but enjoy all along. And this atmosphere, maybe, just maybe, a drop of romance might be blooming here and there.

Therefore, my man Godai will try his best to get closer to Kyouko and give her more opportunities to continue living her life after that tragedy. But will he succeed?

 

This anime is from the good old days. Therefore, you can be certain that anyone who would watch it is very much into anime.

 

 

19. Cardcaptor Sakura

 

 

 

You might dismiss it as an anime for little girls. However, you won't be able to dismiss the legacy that this piece has left for the world. Cardcaptor Sakura is a series about a girl who accidentally scattered dangerous cards throughout her realm.

 

And now, she must do all she can to collect those cards and take care of them so that no one is hurt. And that will Mark the beginning of Cardcaptor Sakura.

 

This anime is legendary and there's no question about it. I mean, when was the last time you saw an anime that was supposedly for girls but boys also watched it?

Little Busters is filled with fun and passion as an anime. And therefore it stands out so much to the fans. The show talks about a girl named Riki who lost her parents during her childhood.

Little Busters do all they can to have fun and enjoy their youth. However, the group, in their last year of school, is about to get into some real adventure.

This work right here is a Classic. And I don't think anyone can deny THAT! InuYasha is an anime that talks about a girl from the modern era, who gets back into a war-oriented past where she has a jewel that can grant any wish.

 

However, in the process of getting back into this war-centered era, the jewel was broken and now she must find all the pieces to make sure that they don't get in the wrong hands.

 

To do so, she takes the assistance of a dog-like man named InuYasha. And thus begins the journey of fun and adventure. This is going to be interesting! InuYasha still stands as one of the most wholesome anime you can watch.

 

And that's why I decided to add it to this list.

This series comes under the "artistic" category of anime which makes it hold so much more value than it already does. Plus, it is so captivating and eye-pleasing that we can't help but keep on talking about it.

 

The show talks about the beautiful love story that exists between a boy and a girl. However, this story is yet to be unveiled since the boy tries to make "chance" connections with her but fails miserably.

 

The girl on the other hand leaves everything to faith and hopes that it has something great in store for them. That is why this show is loved so much.

This anime is for anyone who wishes to have a great relationship with his/her spouse. Because this show already promotes that. The title is a combination of the names of our couple.

Seems relatable, right? Horimiya is a fantastic show that you and I can just watch whenever we wish to. It is light, it is funny, and it has sentiments. Great work for sure.

 

 

13. Nodame Cantabile

 

 

 

Remember when I said that you should watch Welcome To The Ballroom if you are into dance? Yeah, if you are into music then you must watch Nodame Cantabile. The show talks about a perfect musician named Shinichi Chiaki who can't do anything but be critical of himself.

 

He wishes to compete against the elite and in the process, learn new things. However, he is afraid of flying. And so, he is stuck in Japan. But to his credit, he found Nodame, an unrealistically impressive pianist whose music can't be compared.

 

And so, a new story is about to begin for these two. This anime depicts what it means to be an elite musician and the outlook you must have. Make if you wish to know, then give this a go.

 

 

12. Kamisama Hajimemashita

 

 

 

Yet another anime from the good old days. Although, not surprised to see this one in the list of romantic comedies. The series we named Kamisama Hajimemashita, talks about a poor girl who accidentally becomes the God of a new shrine offered to her.

 

However, when she does become a God, she isn't accepted by the fox-like familiar present in the shrine. And so, the girl begins to make the fox trust her and accept her as his Goddess.

 

However, this process is going to be very tedious yet interesting. Make sure to watch it. This anime is for all those who love some light-hearted stuff for themselves. Oh, so you are one of them?

 

 

11. Cross Game

 

 

 

This next anime has a very clever way of putting romance into its narrative. So I must say, it is worth taking a look at. The show talks about a boy named Kou and a girl named Aoba who are clear opposites of each other.

 

With contrasting personalities and abilities, these two seem to have nothing in common. However, two things keep them together. Firstly, it's Baseball and secondly, it's Wakaba, Aoba's sister, and Kou's crush.

 

And this is where it gets interesting. Because with a game of Baseball, these guys will be able to learn to overcome their problems. The show depicts romance and comedy distinctly and purposefully.

This show talks about a lonely narcissistic guy named Hikigaya Hachiman who looks at youth as a gimmick and everything that happens in that stage as a fake output from people who wish to be accepted by society.

 

However, his ideologies are soon challenged when he gets along with Yukinoshita Yukino to be a part of a club that helps people. How will this loner be able to handle people all of a sudden?

 

Oregairu is a deep story that holds a lot of messages in its narrative. So make sure you are attentive while watching it.

 

 

9. Nana

 

 

 

The show is all about finding your true self. And I think in today's generation, that is a very important quality. Nana tells us the story of two girls, both with the name of Nana, who got along with each other out of a pure accident.

 

However, this meeting will change both of their lives forever. As they get to know each other and learn, they realize that their outlook on life was flawed. And soon, both of them refine themselves to work hard and achieve what they wish.

 

Nana is a mature anime that deals with real-life problems and portrays them beautifully. This romance series should be on your watchlist right now!

6. Disappearance Of Suzumiya Haruhi

 

 

 

This movie is just too good of an experience. However, if you haven't watched the original Suzumiya Haruhi series then don't watch it. Try the prequel first and then jump into this one.

 

However, when you do jump into this one, I am sure you will burst with emotions. The movie talks about Christmas time when Kyon notices that Haruhi has suddenly disappeared and all of a sudden, no one knows about her.

 

Everything that happened with the SOS brigade now seems like a dream. But was it a dream? Or maybe it was something else. I think you can find out by watching the movie.

 

This movie will play with your emotions and feelings so much that you will be shocked. And so, make sure to keep handkerchiefs ready for the same.

Nagisa wanted to revive the drama club and Tomoya agreed to help her because he had nothing better to do. But in the process of helping her and her friends, he realizes what they have to go through and soon concludes that his dull life has a lot more purpose than he initially thought.

 

Clannad is one of the best series that will ever come out. However, you must watch Clannad After Story as well to understand why I am saying that. And once you do, make sure to come back here again and thank me.

We are in the Top 3, ladies and gentlemen. This is it! The final stretch! And if you ask me, there is no better way to begin this stretch than this beautiful anime right here, Fruits Basket.

 

The show talks about Tooru Honda who lost her home and has nowhere to go. However, soon she gets taken in by the Souma family and starts getting involved with them.

 

Then comes the fun part, she realizes that people in the Souma family change their turn into animals from the Chinese Zodiac when they are hugged by another gender. And this revelation is going to take their relationships to some very new heights.

 

The synopsis might sound stupid at first. However, the way this anime uses its plot point and portrays it on screen is just unreal. Something that you wouldn't wanna miss out on.

For runner-up, we have one of the most heartwarming yet heart-wrenching series of all time, Bunny Girl Senpai. This beautiful anime focuses on the concept of "Puberty Syndrome" wherein the victim gets his negative thoughts personified into reality.

 

And that is what happens when model Sakurajima Mai starts to become invisible as she hoped to out of everyone's vision due to her career. However, to her rescue comes Sakuta Azusagawa who has experienced Puberty Syndrome firsthand and doesn't want anyone else to do so.

 

Thus begins the journey of this beautiful couple to get together, know each other, and help others in the process. And let's just say that they are on an adventure to become one of the greatest couples in anime history.

 

I don't want to say anything so Bunny Girl Senpai to you. All I want is for you to complete this list and immediately go watch it. You will have the time of your life by doing so as this anime is full of hilarious moments but there are some romantic elements too that will make your heart pump for sure.

Why? Let's have a look. The series talks about Shuchiin Academy where only the most studious and/or rich students are permitted. The student council president of that school is Miyuki Shirogane, a hardworking top scorer whose financial score isn't that high.

 

And the vice president is Kaguya Shinomiya, a wealthy beauty from the Shinomiya family who can buy a country for her birthday. They both are in love with each other.

 

However, they wish to make the other person confess so that they don't lose in this battle of hearts. But will they be able to make each other confess? There's only one way to find out!

 

This anime is just way too smart. It uses the concept of fights and love so brilliantly that we can't help but fall in love with it. Fantastic animation, comedy, voice action, characters, plot, and execution are just a handful of how many features that this show can offer.
