His personality has changed from debut to date, in the mid-era of the slapstick version, he had a superhuman level of elasticity and is usually defeated by Jerry in the end. He has yellow and green colored eyes.
2. Jerry (The Tom and Jerry Comedy Show)
Gerald Jerry Mouse is a brown house mouse who was first named Jinx, also known as Jerome.
Jerry is a cheerful mouse who seeks to have fun all the time even at the expense of bothering others.
Although he is small and physically less powerful than Tom, he uses his intelligence and opportunities to overpower and defeat Tom.
He has a large pair of ears on his head, four whiskers in his nose region, and a small tuft on his head with a proportionally sized tail in the back.
Jerry’s only weakness is that he is vulnerable to Tom which sometimes gets the best of him resulting in Tom’s victory.
This was the second TV show to air after the Tom and Jerry show in 1975.
Even though the show tried its best, it had a lot of negative responses for its animation quality & lack of returning characters, hence does not have a DVD box like its predecessor.
1. Pingu (Pingu: A story for Preschool Children)
Positively one of the most memorable cartoon icons of most of our childhoods, Pingu was first aired in the year 1986.
Pingu was created by a Swiss filmmaker named Otmar Gutmann. Pingu is a fun-loving black and white penguin with orange feet and a red beak. that lives with his family at the South Pole.
He helps his parents with chores and takes care of Pinga his sister when his parents are busy.
Despite his genuine and caring nature, just like any other child, he is also very troublesome and mischievous, he constantly pushes the boundaries that get him into trouble but is always lucky enough to get out of it quickly.
He usually shows his rebellious side while having food and often refuses to eat the food served to him.
But later when the series progressed, he became more mature and responsible and had a crush on Pingi. “Nug, Nug!” I hope reading these characters would have given a reminisce to your childhood days.
Most of the series and franchises are now available on various OTT platforms. So, what will be your first pick for a rewatch binge?
