Melinda's World (2003)

Despite its potential, Melinda's World never quite managed to live up to expectations. The film was directed by David Baumgarten and featured a talented cast, including Bill Beeson, Robyn Metchik, and Jean Fields, but it failed to impress critics or moviegoers. Despite a few good moments, the movie ultimately fell flat and failed to make an impact.

Her best friend refers to her as a 'silly goose' due to her nature. As the movie progresses, Melinda goes through ageless comforts and pains, with waylaid college professors entering her life, along with a warm-hearted waitress who introduces her to Coca-Cola and the magical blues and explorative attention for a boy.

She eventually loses her beloved aunt and observes her father sink into a world of angry drunkenness and through it all she matures and learns to accept the bittersweet realities of life by going back to her treasure chest of memories, to relieve them once again.
