Cats & Dogs is one of those movies that never quite found its footing, despite a talented cast and crew. Directed by Lawrence Guterman, and starring Alec Baldwin, Tobey Maguire, and Jeff Goldblum, the movie failed to make an impression with critics or audiences when it was released in 2001.

 

Cats and dogs are in an eternal struggle for power, and humans are completely oblivious to it. Mr Tinkles, a white Persian cat, attempts to destroy the vaccine being devised by Professor Brody to help prevent dog allergies from all human beings.

 

Little Lou, the family beagle who's guarding the vaccine and his dog agent friends will have to ensure that Tinkles or his army is unable to lay their hands on the vaccine because then they'll manipulate its content to make the world allergic to dog hair and also gain total world domination.

Independent record studio Empire Records is set to be sold and converted into a branch of Music Town. Determined to keep the store independent, employee Lucas hatches a plan to take the day's earnings to a casino and quadruple $9000 by playing craps.

 

While the first game goes well, he loses everything in the second game. As the other employees come to the store, they become aware of the cash being missing from the bank and store owner.

 

Meanwhile, store manager Joe who was planning to become part owner of the store to save it is now falling short by $9000, the money Lucas has lost.

Tired of Jimmy's frequent bouts of running away from home, his mother decides to put him into an institution. Corey sneaks Jimmy out and they travel to Los Angeles, where he discovers the latter's talent for playing video games.

 

With a gaming tournament happening in Universal Studios and a prize money of $50000, Corey decides to use it as an opportunity to prevent Jimmy's institutionalisation by showing everyone his inherent talent.

Through the eyes of soldiers, sailors, and pilots, we see the heroism and sacrifice of all those who fought in the war and the impact it had on the world.

While the hospital remains dismissive of her claims, when Eric's roommate also falls ill with a similar sickness, it makes them all the more dismissive. As Dr Spencer decides to ban Monica from being close to her ill son and calls on Child Services, Monica gets her and the hospital sued, leading to a court battle.

 

This will eventually determine where Eric stays, and most importantly, whether he'll survive.

T have a video camera and their only demand over a month-long standoff with the police is to broadcast their hostages' every word and action on worldwide television, or else they'll kill them.

 

While two people get killed, Cliff, Joe and a girl named Wendy survive. After some time Cliff becomes indifferent to the threats of death, repeatedly challenging his captors to go for it.

 

The coverage of his consistent defiance ends up turning him into a media icon.
