1. Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991)

Artificial intelligence (AI) Skynet is at war with human resistance. Skynet sent its T-1000, an advanced Terminator, back to the past to locate resistance leader Connor in his childhood and kill him.
In defence, the resistance sends their less-advanced Terminator, T-800. John groups with T-800 and meets Connor's mother, Sarah. Despite her initial hesitation, Sarah warms up to T-800 when she sees him bonding with her son.
During its face-off with T-1000, T-800 has to make the ultimate sacrifice.

It inadvertently finds John Connor through his wife Kate Brewster, whose father is a U. S. Air Force General grappling with the virus as it wreaks digital havoc on military and civilian systems alike. Before long, nuclear war becomes imminent.

When his ex dies, their son, Max, is left in the custody of Charlie. Max restores an old-generation robot, and by winning, he and Charlie bond.

10. Astro Boy (2009)
Astro Boy is an average animation-action movie with some good moments. The performances by Freddie Highmore, Nicolas Cage, and Kristen Bell are competent, but the screenplay by Osamu Tezuka, David Bowers, Timothy Harris, David Bowers, and Colin Brady could have been tighter.
Dr Tenma and Dr Elefun create the Peacekeeper, an advanced defensive robot but it malfunctions, accidentally killing Tenma's teenage son, Toby. A heartbroken Tenma revives Toby as a robot programmed with all his memories and makes his body with built-in defences to protect him.
As Toby, who takes on the identity of 'Astro' slowly begins to get accustomed to his newfound abilities, an alien race threatens life on Earth, leading him to step up and save the day.

11. Chappie (2015)
