Marked as a transformative and reflective decade for Hollywood cinema, the 70s witnessed a shift towards more socially present and responsible storytelling by taking on the changing social and political climate and presenting it through exploration of themes such as the Vietnam War, civil rights, and disillusionment.
During this period, diverse films moved audiences with their innovative styles and narratives, powerful performances, and in turn, became culturally significant. The emergence of iconic films looked something like the release of The Godfather and its sequel, The Godfather Part II, which navigated the roots of family, power, and corruption. The disruptive horror film, The Exorcist and the action-packed thriller Jaws became cultural phenomena and redefined their respective genres. The rise of independent cinema also took place, with films like Easy Rider and Taxi Driver and their gritty and introspective portrayals of societal issues.
In this list, you'll find the best of the 70s in the Cinemas, so sit back, enjoy, and experience films modulated according to your watching preferences.

Before long, a rival makes a drug-related business proposal that Vito promptly denies, resulting in a grand mob war that could end the Corleone family's all-reaching influence in NY's criminal underbelly.
